LifeWell
LifeWell is a life companion: one account that holds a whole life rather than one metric. Seven areas sit around you — health, mind, life stages, family and work, memories, the everyday things that hold a week together, and what you have chosen to share — and they share one profile, one set of units and one set of people. Health is the largest of the seven and it is deliberately not the point. Entries are written on your device first and sync afterwards, so a tunnel or a flight is not a reason to lose a day, and everything you enter can be exported in full or deleted outright.
What people use it for
Answering "when did this start?"
A symptom, a dose change and the photo from the week it began usually live in three different apps. Kept in one record on one timeline, the answer to a doctor's question is a scroll rather than an evening of reconstruction.
A life stage that hands over to the next
A cycle becomes trying, trying becomes a pregnancy, a pregnancy becomes a small person with a record of their own. Each stage carries the one before it forward instead of starting from an empty screen in a new app.
Family and work in the same week
A sibling who is also a colleague is one person in your record, not two entries that drift apart. What each person can see is chosen one item at a time, and every choice can be taken back.
Keeping a week that had gaps in it
There is no streak to protect and no minimum to hit. A record with gaps is still a record, and the year view shows the shape of the year you actually lived rather than a score you failed to keep.
How it works
- Create one account — One profile — date of birth, units, goals — fills every area in. Change your height once, not in every place that asks for it.
- Switch on only what you need — Seven domains are available and none is compulsory. Someone who tracks sleep and a to-do list is using it correctly.
- Log in seconds — Every tracker opens on the thing you came to do. Entries save on the device first and sync when there is a connection.
- Read it back — Weeks and months side by side, in the units you chose, with no interpretation you did not ask for.
- Share deliberately, or not at all — Nothing is shared until you choose it, item by item. There is no feed and no public profile, so nothing can be seen by accident.
- Take it with you whenever you want — Export everything in a file you can open without LifeWell, and delete the account from inside the app.

- A midwife asks how the last fortnight has been.
- Sleep, mood and appointments sit on one timeline, so the pattern is visible without holding three apps in your head.
- You are underground with no signal and want to log a glass of water.
- The entry is written locally and syncs when you surface. A dose or a feed is not one of these: those need a connection, and the app says so when you save rather than losing it quietly.
- You decide to stop using LifeWell.
- One export, in a format you can open elsewhere, then delete the account. Neither is a request you have to email in.
Questions
Do I have to use all seven parts?
No, and most people will not. You switch on what you need and the rest stays out of the way. Someone who only ever tracks sleep and a to-do list is using it correctly.
Is this a medical app?
No. It records what you tell it and shows you your own patterns. It does not diagnose anything, it does not give medical advice, and it is not a substitute for talking to a professional.
What happens to what I write?
It is yours. LifeWell is not an advertising product and your record is not sold. What the app itself can see, and why, is set out on the privacy page in plain language.
Can I get everything out again?
Yes — one export, as a file you can open without LifeWell. Deleting your account removes the record, with no hidden copy waiting to be reactivated.
Does it work without a connection?
Yes, for some of it. Water, mood, steps, cycle days and symptoms save on your device first and sync when you are back. Everything else — a new medication, a share, an appointment — needs a connection, and says so at the moment you save rather than failing quietly.
What if my life changes shape?
That is the point of building it this way. The parts you need appear, and the years before them stay exactly where you left them.
Tips
- Start with one thing — a glass of water, a mood, a photo, or one person. The other six domains will still be there later.
- Set your units once in your profile; every screen follows them, including the calculators.
- The year view is a shape, not a score. A fortnight with nothing in it is information too.
- Sharing is per item and reversible, so there is no reason to over-share to get started.
