Questions
Is what I post there private?
No. Anything you post is public to every other LifeWell member, it is not part of your private record, and it is not encrypted between you and one person. The page carries that warning above the feed rather than in a footer, because nobody scrolls to a footer before writing something they would not say to a room. Chats are the private half of the product.
What happens when I report something?
A moderator reads every report, and the person who wrote the post is never told who reported them. The dialog takes an optional note that only moderators see. It also offers to hide that person's posts from you at the same time, which takes effect immediately whatever the moderator decides. If the report itself fails to send, nothing is lost and what you wrote is still there.
Somebody in a thread sounds like they are in danger. What do I do?
Report it with the first of the six reasons, "Someone is at risk right now", which is read first and within the hour, and whose own hint says that over-reporting it is the right mistake to make. The page's own sentence for that person is direct: if you are in crisis, contact your local emergency number rather than a forum. A verified international directory of helplines, findahelpline.com, resolves to your own country, and the IASP keeps a second list at www.iasp.info/suicidalthoughts/.
Can I post without my name?
Yes. The composer offers "Post without my name" and the post then shows as Anonymous to other members. Moderators can still see who wrote it, which the hint says out loud, because that is how a report can be acted on at all. Blocking an anonymous poster is the one thing the app cannot do for you.
What makes a good first post?
A question, narrow enough to answer. The composer's hint says a question works better than a statement and that vague titles get fewer replies, and the post's advice is the same: ask what helped somebody stay hydrated during a working day rather than something general nobody can answer. Say the actual thing.
Is any of this medical advice?
No. The replies come from other members writing about their own lives. They are not clinicians, LifeWell does not check what they say, and none of it is medical advice. That line sits under the replies as well as above the feed, because a disclaimer in a footer is read by nobody at the moment somebody is being told to change a dose. Presenting medical advice as fact is one of the six report reasons, so the rule is enforced rather than stated.
