Delete your LifeWell account
This page explains how to delete your LifeWell account and everything in it. Deletion is self-service and takes under a minute: you do not need to email anybody, explain yourself, or wait for approval. It removes your record rather than deactivating it, and it cannot be undone — so export first if any of it might matter later. Below: the exact steps inside the app, what goes immediately, the things that take longer and why, the very little that is kept for legal reasons, and what to do if you have lost access to the Google account you signed up with.
How it works
- Open Settings — From the menu, in the app or on the web. The same route works on both.
- Choose Your data — Everything about export and deletion sits in one place rather than being scattered through settings.
- Export first, if you want a copy — One tap, in a format you can open without LifeWell. There is no recovery window afterwards, so this is the moment.
- Tap Delete account — At the bottom of that tab. The page then lists exactly what will be removed.
- Type DELETE to confirm — The typing step exists so this cannot happen by accident or by a mis-tap.
- Confirm — You are signed out immediately and the record is gone. Nobody has to approve it.

Can I delete my LifeWell account myself?
Yes. It is self-service from inside the app, on the web and on Android, and it takes under a minute. No email, no support request, and no approval step.
Can deletion be undone?
No. There is no recovery window and no deactivated state to restore from. Export anything you might want before you confirm.
Does uninstalling the app delete my account?
No. Uninstalling removes the local copy on that device and nothing on the server, and signing out changes nothing except that device. Only the delete-account step actually deletes the account.
What if I have lost access to my Google account?
Write from any address with enough detail to identify the account. It will be verified as well as is reasonably possible and then deleted — better an occasional deletion after imperfect verification than someone unable to remove their own health record.
Does deleting my LifeWell account affect my Google account?
No. Google is told nothing beyond the access being given up. Your Google account is untouched.
I sent the get-involved form but never signed up. How do I remove that?
Ask from the address you used. There is no account to open and no in-app route, so the contact page is the way, and nothing more has to be proved than that the address is yours.
Tips
- Export first. It is the only step that cannot be taken afterwards.
- A phone that is switched off still holds its local copy until it next connects — uninstalling clears it now.
