Baby tracker
The baby tracker in LifeWell is a fast log of a baby's day: feeds by type and duration, sleep with start and end times, and nappy changes. Comprehensive baby care logging for feeding sessions, sleep patterns, and diaper changes. Track your newborn's daily routine and share updates with your partner or caregiver in real time. Every entry is designed to be made one-handed in the dark, because that is when it is made. It records what you enter and shows the day back to you; it makes no judgement about whether a baby is feeding or sleeping enough.

How it works
- Add your baby โ Create a profile for your baby with their birth date and basic details.
- Log a feed โ Log feeding sessions by type (breast, bottle, or solids) with duration and amount.
- Log sleep โ Track sleep periods including naps and nighttime sleep with start and end times.
- Log a change โ Record diaper changes with type indicators for wet, dirty, or mixed.
- Read the day โ View daily summaries that show total feeding time, sleep hours, and diaper counts.
Questions
Can both parents log entries?
Yes. LifeWell supports partner sharing so both parents can log and view entries in real time from their own devices.
Can I track multiple babies?
Yes. You can create separate profiles for each child, and all tracking data is kept independent per baby.
How far back does the history go?
All entries are stored permanently in your account. You can review data from any date since you started logging.
Tips
- Log each feeding immediately when it ends, before you put the baby down. You will not accurately remember duration after the fact, especially in the sleep-deprived early weeks. Your phone is closer than your memory will be in ten minutes.
- Set up the app on both parents' devices and sync before every handover. 'She last ate at 2 PM but I am not sure how long for' is a solvable coordination problem. Shared, real-time data makes every handover cleaner and every parent more confident.
- Watch for the Z-pattern many newborns follow โ short nap, active window, short nap, active window. Tracking makes this rhythm visible in the data before your exhausted brain can identify it from lived experience. Once you can see the pattern, you can work with it.
- Print a weekly summary before each pediatric checkup. Doctors genuinely appreciate when parents arrive with accurate data rather than estimates. Feeding frequency, average sleep totals, and daily diaper counts โ ready and accurate โ make appointments measurably more efficient.
- Do not aim for perfect records. A 95% complete log is infinitely more useful than a zero record maintained because the standard felt too demanding. Log what you can, when you can. Done and approximate beats perfect and missing.
