Period tracker
The period tracker in LifeWell is a log of your cycle โ start, end, flow, symptoms and mood โ with predictions calculated from your own recorded history. Log your menstrual cycle with flow intensity, symptoms, and mood tracking. Predict upcoming periods based on your historical cycle data and gain insights into your reproductive health patterns. A prediction is arithmetic on your past cycles, weighted towards recent ones; it is not a medical opinion and it cannot know about the illness, travel or stress that will move this month. Irregular cycles are recorded as they are, not smoothed.

Questions
How accurate are the period predictions?
Predictions improve as you log more cycles. After three or more logged cycles, most users find predictions accurate within one to two days.
Can I track irregular cycles?
Yes. The tracker adapts to irregular cycles by calculating a weighted average that gives more importance to recent cycle lengths.
Is my period data private?
Completely. Your data is stored in your private account and encrypted in transit. LifeWell never sells or shares personal health data.
Tips
- Log on day 1 even if you are not completely sure it is day 1. A 'light spotting' entry is more useful than a gap in your data. Prediction accuracy improves over months as more data accumulates โ start with rough logging and refine from there.
- Track at least one symptom every day, even if it is just 'no symptoms today'. The absence of symptoms is data. Many people discover premenstrual or ovulation-related patterns they never consciously recognized until they see them charted over several cycles.
- Use your cycle calendar to plan proactively. The follicular phase (roughly days 1โ14) typically brings rising energy and sharper focus. Scheduling your most demanding work or challenging conversations here often produces noticeably better outcomes.
- Before your next gynecological appointment, screenshot your cycle history and share it with your doctor. This communicates more useful information in five seconds than five minutes of verbal reconstruction from memory โ and doctors genuinely appreciate it.
- If your cycles are highly irregular, do not assume the app's predictions are wrong. They may be working correctly with genuinely unpredictable data. The primary value of tracking irregular cycles is documentation and pattern identification, not necessarily accurate future prediction.
