Water tracking
Water tracking in LifeWell is a running count of what you drank today, measured against a daily goal you set. Track your daily water intake against personalized hydration goals. Log each glass or bottle throughout the day and visualize your hydration patterns over time to build consistent drinking habits. Each entry is one tap, so logging costs less attention than remembering. Nothing is measured for you โ there is no bottle sensor and no estimate from the weather โ and the goal is a number you chose, not a target the app decided you need.

Questions
How much water should I drink daily?
A common guideline is about 2 liters (8 cups) per day, but your ideal intake depends on body weight, activity, and climate. LifeWell calculates a personalized target for you.
Can I log beverages other than water?
Yes. You can log tea, coffee, juice, and other beverages. The tracker accounts for the hydration contribution of different drink types.
Will I get reminders to drink water?
Yes. You can enable periodic reminders throughout the day. The app adjusts reminder frequency based on how far you are from your daily goal.
Tips
- Start every morning with a full glass of water before your first coffee or breakfast. Your body loses fluid overnight through breathing and minor sweating โ morning hydration replenishes this baseline before the day's demands start competing for your attention.
- Use a large, marked water bottle with fill-level targets tied to the time of day. Visual anchors like 'finish to here by noon' make the goal concrete rather than abstract. Think of it as a progress bar for your wellbeing โ and everyone likes a filling progress bar.
- Eat your water too. Cucumber is 96% water, watermelon 92%, strawberries 91%. These foods contribute meaningfully to your daily intake and deliver electrolytes that plain water alone cannot provide. Hydration is not just what you drink.
- Set a hydration reminder every 90 minutes during your workday. The excuse to get up and refill your glass doubles as a mental reset โ research consistently shows short breaks improve sustained concentration. One habit, two benefits.
- If plain water bores you into avoidance (a completely valid response), try adding a cucumber slice, lemon wedge, or a few mint leaves. Taste aversion is an underrated barrier to adequate hydration that almost no one talks about, but addressing it directly can double your daily intake.
