Get involved with LifeWell
Getting involved with LifeWell means offering time rather than money. Six routes are open โ helping build the app, a partnership or collaboration, community and volunteering, sharing health or wellness expertise, joining the early-feedback group, or something the list has not thought of. None of them costs anything, and the most useful contributions are usually the smallest: a specific bug report with the steps that caused it, a screen translated into another language, or an honest account of where an early Android build fell over. What you send is stored so it can be replied to, and it is disclosed on the privacy page like anything else.
What people use it for
Reporting what is wrong, specifically
What you were doing, what you expected, what happened instead. A specific report with steps can be reproduced and fixed; a general one costs two rounds of questions first.
Testing an early Android build
Builds go to a small group before release. Rough edges are the point, feedback goes straight to the person who can act on it, and you can stop whenever you like.
Translating a screen
The app is English today. Translating one screen at a time is a real contribution, and you will be credited unless you would rather not be.
Offering professional expertise
Health and wellness professionals can help keep educational wording clear and responsible. LifeWell gives no advice, so the job is accuracy and caution rather than content.
Questions
Who can help?
Anyone. Developers and designers are useful, and so is a person who writes one clear bug report or translates one screen. No experience is expected and no commitment is asked for.
Is any of this paid?
No. There is no budget, and saying otherwise would be inventing one. If that changes it will be said plainly rather than quietly assumed.
How long does a reply take?
Usually a few days, sometimes longer in a busy week. There is one person here and no overnight cover.
Will I be credited?
Yes, unless you would rather not be โ just say so in the message. Credit is offered by default and never published without asking.
Can I change my mind later?
At any point, with no explanation needed. Nothing here is a commitment, and stopping costs nothing.
Tips
- One submission per email address per day โ write once and say everything rather than sending three.
- A link to work you have done is optional and helps for build and partnership offers.
- If money suits you better than time, the support page is the other half of this.
