LifeWell 2.0: A Major Update Packed With New Features
LifeWell 2.0 was the release that rebuilt the interface and added the most in one go: light, dark and system appearance with customisable accents, a responsive layout from a small phone upward, four calculators — heart rate zones, macros, TDEE and a body fat estimate — backup of photos and memories to your own Google Drive, and a baby tracker with growth charts on WHO curves, milestones and multi-child support. This post is its announcement, and its title and address are the ones Google indexed. One thing did not last. The ten-language switcher was withdrawn rather than left offering a half-translated interface, and the post says plainly why rather than quietly dropping it from the list.
LifeWell 2.0 Is Here
We are thrilled to announce the release of LifeWell 2.0, the biggest update since launch. This release reflects months of development and community feedback, bringing significant improvements across every aspect of the platform.
What Is New
Redesigned Interface
The entire UI has been rebuilt with Radix UI and Tailwind CSS 4, delivering a cleaner, more intuitive experience. The new design system supports:
- Light, dark, and system appearance modes
- Customizable accent colors and themes
- Improved responsive design from 320px to 4K displays
- Better accessibility with proper ARIA labels and keyboard navigation
A Note on Languages
This release originally shipped partial translations for ten languages. They were never complete — several were less than half finished — so the language switcher was withdrawn rather than left offering a half-translated interface.
LifeWell is English-only today. Dates, numbers and measurements still follow your own settings, and translation will return when a language can be finished rather than started.

Does LifeWell have other languages?
Not today, and none is planned. The mechanism that would carry a second language is still in place, so a finished one would be a single new catalogue file rather than a project, but there is no date and inventing one would be worse than saying so.
Is there an iPhone app?
Not today. LifeWell runs in any modern browser and as an Android app. An iOS build needs an Apple developer account that does not exist yet, so there is no date to give you, and saying "soon" would be inventing one.
Does it work offline?
Your record lives on your device first. It works with no connection at all. If you turn syncing on, a copy goes to a server so your other devices can read it. Water, mood and steps are the three things LifeWell queues while you are offline, and they go up on their own when the connection returns. A reading with one slot a day, such as weight, does not merge: the later write lands on top of the earlier one as a correction.
Do I have to pay for it?
No. Sign in with Google and the account is on Free immediately: no card, no trial period and no countdown. There are three plans, Free, Pro and Family, and what each one allows is on the plans page. If you ever stop paying for a paid plan, everything already recorded stays, stays readable and stays exportable.
Where is my record actually kept?
On your device first, and in your own account if you turn syncing on. Photos and memories can back up to your own Google Drive rather than to us, which keeps the large files somewhere you already control. You can export everything, and you can delete everything yourself from inside the app.
